Seaworld!

So, Sea world has this great deal called a preschool pass. Children ages three to five get a years pass for free. Then an adult ticket will get you back into the park all year. So you pay for one day and get back in all year. Well, we were thinking that that is awesome! We were also thinking that going to Sea world would be a great place to take the kids as we switched off going to the temple. It is really close to the temple, so we can take turns watching the kids at Sea world. We decided that it would be a super plan for the non summer months. We tried it out a couple weekends ago. let me just say, it was awesome! It's already almost too hot, so we may only get to do it one more time before we put those passes away until November, but it was still so fun!
We loved going into the aquarium and seeing all the really pretty colorful tropical fish. I love that we could see them and we didn't have to get in the yucky salt water and snorkel in order to do it!
These sting rays were sweet! There is a tank that goes all around you and so they are swimming all over the place.
I'm not really sure what all the differences are between all of the whales, but they make for some pretty great pictures. This is a Beluga whale. As we watched it go up and down in the water, you could see the blubber shiver up and down it's body. Pretty sick if you ask me!
We loved the whale show! We didn't want to get wet, but we wanted good seats. So we sat in the seventh or eighth row and just prayed that we wouldn't get wet. We're living proof that prayers are answered! The whales splashed the people on both sides of us but missed us! We loved that the trainer made the whale smile.
I hadn't been to Sea world for about seven years. I had forgotten how cool it is. We all loved the whale show and that we walked out as dry as we walked in.
We went to the dolphin show. We thought we would only see dolphins, but there was this whale in with them. We hadn't planned well enough for a whale's splash...
...Oh dear, here's the result of our lack of planning. Poor kid did not like that he had been splashed! Thankfully it was 90 degrees(yes it truly was and it was the third of March. That's not great!)so he dried real quick!
I think it's truly amazing that they can jump so high! I don't know how they train them, but I'm very impressed with the out come.
The dolphin show was my favorite part. I love these animals! I love that we were able to spend some of the day in the temple and then some of the day at Sea world. Hopefully the kiddos won't get too tired of going. We didn't make it to see the sharks and B says that alone is reason enough to go back. I thought this day was totally perfect and I'm excited to go back!

Happy to report

I am happy to say that after four grueling weeks, my infected hangnail has healed! I seem to always have a hangnail plauging me. So, four long weeks ago when another one was making itself known, I didn't really think anything about it. Well, by that Thursday night I was definitely thinking about that hangnail! It gave me grief like I had never known with a hangnail. Oh my word! It hurt so bad! You would be amazed how often one notices an infected hangnail! It seems to effect your whole entire life! I felt like saying,"don't even look at it! It hurts when you look in my direction, so just don't look!" It got so bad that I even had B take a needle to it and try to poke it so that the infection could come out. Now you may be asking yourself why I didn't go to the Dr since it had been four weeks. I may or may not have health insurance and so going to the Dr unless it's an absolute emergency is something I hold strong to. As I was praying to know what to do the thought came to me to put hydrogen peroxide on it. So for a few days that's what I did. I dipped a Qtip in it and would put that on my hangnail. It would bubble and look really cool but it didn't really seem to get better. I continued to pray about it. The thought came to me, SOAK IT in hydrogen peroxide. Sometimes I wonder if Heavenly Father just looks down at me and shakes his head because he has to basically draw pictures for me. Well, I started to soak it. The first time I did it, it was like my hangnail exploded! All this gross stuff came out. IT WAS AWESOME!!! It was like one of those really good zits that pops really good and goes away the next day. My hangnail didn't go away the next day, it continued to explode but little by little it got better. Now I can function without feeling a heartbeat in my thumbnail and people can look at my nail without me screaming in pain to look away! Yipee for answered prayers and hydrogen peroxide!

Let's play hide and seek

The other morning after I had gone running, K asked if I would play hide and seek with him. Now usually how it goes is he counts first, I hide and he finds me. Then he hides in the same spot and dies laughing when I "find" him. Well, on this particular morning he was in my room with a bucket. He told me that he was going to hide first. I said ok, but before I could count he told me that he was ready. I think I had been in my closet putting something away. When I walked out, this is what I found.

I told him that he was a goof and then he said, "Oh I forgot. I meant to do it like this.

After he was in there, he told me he was ready and asked,"Mommy can you see me like this?" I told him yes and so he tried a different way.

I don't think that he really believed me that I could in fact see him. Some people work on the alphabet with their children. Not me, we work on hide and seek. Clearly he needs the help!

When will the madness end?

So, I have an A-mazing friend that I was lucky enough to meet whilst I was still working. We've stayed in touch over the years. She and her three sweet children have gone through some really horrid things. She and some other women have started a blog called Stoptheabuse21.blogspot.com. I don't know how else to help her except to spread the word. The laws that are set up to protect innocent people, especially children are not doing what they are supposed to be doing. If anything, they make the situation worse. I want to help change them, but I don't know how. I think that if we all use our vocies then maybe something will change right?

"Where does Satan live?"

We had just gotten done with reading scriptures tonight when K asked were Satan lives. With all the class I could muster I blurted out,"Hell." Why do I say adult words in front of small children?! I swear sometimes I just don't think! Anyway B was not even a full breath behind me trying to clean up my mess by saying,"Well, we don't say that word. We should say outer darkness." Well of course K has already taken the frist word and said it 700 times in the three seconds since I said it. So then he gets a troubled look on his face and asks,"Where's Hell?" B once again corrected him by saying outer darkness and then he said,"I don't know really." Without even a pause K said,"Hell is on an airplane." I died laughing. I guess we all know how he feels about flying!

They are our bests!

We are so blessed! Do you want to know why?! Because we get to call this A-mazing family are best friends! I can remember life before we met them, but I don't like to. They truly are such an amazing family. For those of you that had the oh so unfortunate experience of reading the post where I was having a huge pity party, I apologize profusely! That post has since been deleted, so if you didn't read it consider yourself lucky and immensely blessed. Anyway I have the huge blessing of calling this beautiful woman my best friend. She gets me 100% of the time. We cry together. We laugh together. We laugh so hard that we end up crying together again! We talk about EVERYTHING! Honestly, you name it, we've talked about it. Well this lovely lady had the unpleasant experience of reading my,"I'm feeling sorry for myself" post. Do you want to know what rock stars she and her husband are? They sent us a text tonight saying,"you guys might want to see this." http://youtu.be/4bTy6513omk. So we did. If you haven't stopped reading this and gone and looked at that, You should! We love this family and are so so blessed that they are and forever will be a part of our lives.

Disney World!

B had a break from school. We had saved all of our pennies and used Christmas money and were able to go up to Disney world for three days! It was awesome!
Pretty close to the top of our list to do was meet the princesses. Cinderella is the favorite princess in our house. We both love her. She was the most normal of the three that were there to meet. The other two seemed to take their job a little too seriously. They were nice, just a little odd.
How could one go to Disney world and not meet these two?! Thankfully our timing was perfect, we were first in line and we waited less than a minute! It was awesome! There is just something magical about Disney world, especially when you meet these mice. I couldn't help but smile when we met them. I met Mickey Mouse for the first time in my life on our Honeymoon in Disneyland. he kissed my hand and I totally blushed. The day we saw them in Disney world just happened to be our Anniversary. When I saw him I think I blushed again! I know that I'm all growed up, but I can't help that I get gitty around him.
This merry go round was a huge highlight! I did this with them. Happily I might add because it got me out of going on the tea cups!
They loved the tea cups. B is a rock star and went on with them more than once! It was so fun to watch them have such a good time.
Spending our eighth anniversary here with our children was awesome! M looked at B during the day and said,"This is like the best day of my life I think!" I love that they had so much fun. I love that even though we didn't get married in a castle and birds weren't singing or holding my veil, that we are still living happily ever after!
I must admit that the animal kingdom and Hollywood studios pailed in comparison to the magic kingdom. We still had fun, but if we go again, we will spend more time at magic kingdom. But, as you can tell from this picture, they still had a really good time!
K loves loves loves Chip and Dale! He wouldn't stand with them alone, but he walked back after the picture laughing saying that Chip had bonked him and he loved that!
I love this picture! I don't know why I like it so much. Maybe it's because Of the little hands that are part of K's pretend body. I can't say for certain, I just love it is all.
We went to the Finding Nemo show which was pretty cool. At the end of the show there were bubbles and M loved that. I love this picture too. It's probably safe to say that I love all 201 pictures that we took on our trip. Yes you read right, 201 pictures in 3 days!
There wouldn't have been a line too long to stand in to meet Mater. I'm pretty sure that K would stand in line for the rest of his life just to meet him. It was like a dream come true! He was even willing to be in the picture alone, but M was kind enough to go with him. Thank goodness for big sisters!
Can I just say that the toy story ride at Hollywood Studios is A.W.E.S.O.M.E! It was well worth the hour wait. M is convinced that she's the best player in the world. I wouldn't doubt it!
K loved it too! If there were more hours in the day, we would have stood in line over and over. It truly was so much fun!
We went to the Disney Jr. live show. We were picked to be the family that says the magic words to open the door. We had to knock and then say, Meeeeeska Mooooooska Mickey Mouse! Then we got to sit in the front row. The whole trip was so fun! I love that we were able to go and since we live here we got a discount. I love my little family so much!
When I was little, Goofy was my favorite. When I saw him I wanted my picture with him. I didn't know that I still have a little bit of a crush on him! I'm really embarrassed that I hugged him so tight. I'm pretty sure that I could feel the ribs of the human on the inside. To say it was a crushing hug would probably be an understatment! I guess I still think he's the best. I confessed my crush to B and thankfully he's ok with it!
This was after I told him that I think he's number one. He will always be number 1 to me! (The reason it has lines in it is because this is a picture the Disney World guy took. All the pictures they took they put on a card for us. Thay way when you get home you can look at all of them and order the ones you want. Well, we didn't want to pay $15 for a 4x6 so, we just took a picture of the computer screen=))
