What the?...

While we were on a bike ride the other day we saw this turtle on the side of the road. Well, not this exact turtle. The turtle we saw was black and some of it's shell was broken. We didn't have our camera so we peddled home really fast to get it. By the time we got back, the turtle was gone. So I tried to draw a picture of it. A turtle on the side of the road is pretty sweet, just like this picture.

The pier

Cool picture huh?! It was so warm at the beach today. K really doesn't like getting sand on his hands. If he does he will insist that someone take him over to the water so he can wash his hands off. If M gets in the water and lets it dry on her, she says that it itches too bad and has to go to the showers to rinse off. Once they are clean, they sit in the chairs for awhile and then the whole thing starts over. It's a vicious cycle that we are trying to work through. I love to play in that sand. Someday I hope to be able to make a sand castle like the one in the next picture.
The long brown thing in the front is a draw bridge. On the towers they have used a stick and made little windows. On the side of the buildings they carved little bricks. I think it looks so awesome! I can imagine that it took them hours to build. I wish I could say it was ours. The best thing we can do is Mt. K. But hey, we're working on it!

Cool park

I think the city park may be the coolest we've ever been to. K says this is "his" fire truck. He allowed B to get in with him as they drove to Target.
There is this spiderweb thing that is really awesome too. M climbed into the middle even though she was really nervous.

K noticed that we took a picture of M in the spiderweb. So with a little help he made it into the middle, said,"take my picture." I did and he said,"I'm done." I got him out and he had no interest in it anymore.

I'll build it too.

K saw B hanging a curtain rod, he ran and got the hammer. I heard banging and went to see what was happening. I saw K with the hammer. When I asked him what he was doing, he said,"I want to build it too, like daddy."

This zoo is awesome!

The monkeys have their own little islands. The water acts as a natural fence. They don't like to swim, so they stay away from the water.
*Lions and

Tigers and

bears, oh my!

We got to the zoo just at the right time. We got to see them feed the alligators! It was really cool. They said there are 17 alligators that swim in this water, but we only saw about 9 or 10.
*We think that the lion was hungry, because he kept growling. That was cool to listen to. He was really loud!

When it rains, it pours!

We heard that it was raining. We looked outside at it wasn't raining, it was pouring! You can clearly see the pool of water under the rain thingy.

This is just a close up of the rain thingy. It rained like this for quite awhile. It was really cool to listen to and to open the garage to watch it come down in sheets.

At the beach

I know that it looks cold and gloomy, but it wasn't. The water was only 60, but it was fine to put our feet in.
K was a little more worried about it, but he did walk into it a little bit. His greatest joy was...

... Mt. K! We tried to build a sand mountain that was as tall as he was, but he got a little inpatient and didn't want us to add any more height to it. I love this picture so much!

Setting things up

When we got here there were only about 4 lights in the whole house. B called the landlord and asked if we could get some lights put in. There were places in the ceiling for the lights, you could even see the wiring. It looked like they had just forgotten to put the lights in. Well the landlord told B that since we're getting such a steal on this place, ($1250 a month for rent isn't a steal if you ask me. But what do I know?!) there isn't a whole lot he could do. If we wanted lights, we would have to put them in ourselves. He also told us that in the summer a ceiling fan would be a must, but he wouldn't put that in either. So B and I stayed awake until 6:30 one morning putting lights and ceiling fans in. ( Just in case you were wondering, we were really annoyed that we had to do it. )The next morning, rather later that morning, M wanted to help put the ceiling fan in in their room. She was a huge help!
B finishing the bunk bed assembly. He is so rad! I love that he puts things together and that they stay together. I tried to glue a towel rack together and it just fell apart.

Once the beds were put together it was my turn. We bought the beds and mattress' from IKEA. The mattress is so thin that you can't have any bulge from the blanket. So I get to crawl under the bed and pull the blanket tight. Kind of annoying, but it could be worse.

M loves loves loves to wear heels. She got this pair from B's cousin, B. M would wear these everyday while we lived with B's mom, so cousin just gave them to her.

It rained the night before and so M is on the patio drying her scooter with a paper towel in her heels.

On the plane

B and M on the plane in Salt lake City. It's was early enough in the morning that it was still dark.
T and K on the plane. It was disgusting to be awake this early in the morning. Especially because our travels would take all day.

No exaggeration, K was asleep about 2 minutes after the plane took off. Too bad our first stop was in Denver, so he didn't get to sleep very long.

The sunrise from the plane. It's beautiful! I really like this picture. So long west coast! We'll be seeing you later!

No worries, still alive and kickin'!

Now some of you may be wondering if we were abducted by aliens or something. Put your worried minds at ease, we are alive and kickin'. Life has been crazy since the beginning of December. We thought we sold our condo and had to be out. We packed up so that we could be out the week of Christmas. Then we found out that the loan of the buyers fell through and we were no longer under contract. Things were already packed, so we decided to leave anyway and try to rent it out. Once again, Heavenly Father came to the rescue and sent a renter our way. She moved in about a week after Christmas. We lived with B's mom for about 3 weeks until it was time for us to hit the road. We had a really good time living there and hanging out with J and her boyfriend, A and our cousin, B that is living there too. We played games, ate junk food and played more games. What's not fun in that situation?! We are really thankful for mom and that she would let us stay there. We left Utah on Jan 18 to start our grand adventure. I have oodles and oodles of pictures to put on. Sorry for our absence, but we're back with bells on!
