The year is already gone?

At the end of every year I always get a little sad. I love to look back on the year and remember all the fun things we did. I just get a little sad that all of those fun things are now just a memory. I get excited to think about all the fun things that we will get to do this coming year. I wonder what adventures we will have. I wonder if we will get a baby this coming year. If we do will baby be a girl or a boy? How much will M and K change? It seems like the end of the year is when friends and family move away. I have good friends that are moving their cute little family to Oregon. I know it isn't Mongolia or anything, but I wonder when or if we will see them again. I have a brother and sister-in-law moving their family to the Czech Republic. That is far away! I always wonder what life will throw at us and if we will be ready. Doesn't it seem like it is rare to be ready for those curve balls? I just hope that I will be able to truly improve myself. To become a better wife and mother. A better daughter and sister. A better friend. To 2009 I say farewell dear friend. To 2010 I say bring it on! May your 2010 be all that you have ever wanted!

Merry Chriatmas!

The excitment that I feel for Christmas now is so much different now that we have kids. To watch their little eyes light up as they open thier gifts. At our house we do things a little different. For Christmas we really try to focus on the true meaning of the holiday. We only give M and K 3 gifts each. B and I don't do gifts for each other at all. We really want our children to know that Christmas isn't about what you get. It's about Christ and his perfect example and life. We try to teach them that it is far better to give than to recieve. These are pictures of Christmas morning. K got a boy baby. He always wants to carry around one of M's dolls, so he got his own. M is showing off her princess jewlery. Then the top picture is them playing with their toys. The whole day was awesome! We are so thankful that we get to live so close to extended family and that we were able to go see them and visit them on Christmas. We hope that this coming year you are able to have the happiness and peace that comes with remembering Christ.

Still cold

I am pretty sure that I have been cold my whole life. Growing up, in my parents home during the winter it was usually about 80-85 degrees inside. Even in the summer it was warm in their house. I was cold then and I am still cold now. These pictures were taken the other night while I was sleeping. Why don't we turn up the heat you ask? B says our house is a normal temperature. We keep it at 71. He says that I can turn up the heat, but I don't want the rest of my family to melt. Every cold night I am so thankful that I have things that I can put on to keep me warm!

Bed time

So, K won't keep his blankets on when he is sleeping. He will wake up several times a night because he is too cold. SO we have now started to put a snow hat and his jacket on him when we put him to bed so that he will stay warm. In this picture you can see that his right eye is totally crossed. Thank goodness for glasses!

Cinderella

Cinderella is M's favorite princess. The other night we went to dinner. There was a balloon man there. He told us that he could make princesses out of balloons. Of course M wanted a Cinderella. I think that the balloon man did an awesome job.
Here is M with her balloon Cinderella.

Cheese!

The other day T was doing laundry and K climbed into the basket. First of all, I love that you can see his feet through the basket. Second of all, I love that he is so cheesy.
