I'm sorry, what did you say?

Picture this, M reading to K. She's reading him a book about Clifford. Clifford is helping at the fire station. He watches as his brother, Nero(who is a small normal looking dog. Odd how family members have the same blood, but are so different in size right?) anyway, Clifford is watching Nero teach some children what to do if their clothes are on fire. M:"You stop, drop to the floor and roll until the clothes are off." You now know what to do next time your clothes are on fire! :)

This is why I do them

Doing these books is less than fun for me. Actually I really don't enjoy the process of putting them together. But I love to look at them once they're done. This picture makes it even more worth it. As I came out from getting dressed the other day, this is what I saw. K looking at one of our picture books. This is the book of me being pregnant with him and him being born. He loves to look at the ultrasound pictures and say,"There he is!" I love that he is using another rocking chair as a foot rest. The only thing I don't like is that one chair is black and one is brown. There are few things in life worse than black and brown together.

What the?...

What is it you ask? I haven't got a clue. All I know is that I was standing in our kitchen, by the fridge. I looked outside and said,"What is on the screen?!" (The screen around our patio, not on the window above the kitchen sink.) I thought it was a huge spider, but upon closer examination I realized it wasn't. I don't know what kind of bug it is other than totally disgusting. It sat on there for quite awhile and then as quietly as it had come, it went away. It doesn't look like it has wings, but I didn't see this little fella walk along the screen. So I don't know if he jumped or got eaten or what. All I know is that it's nasty!

Reading

I love love love that M knows how to read! Today whilst I was in the shower, I asked M if she would read to K. She loves to read to him! She loves to read a word and have him say it after her. K loves it when M reads to her. I love that they aren't fighting. This whole situation is just lovely! Ok a little nerdy on my part I know, but I really do love that she will read a book to him and that he will let her.

Where are you?

The other day I couldn't find M and K. We weren't playing hide and seek, I just couldn't find them. All the sudden I heard K's very distinct, annoying, scream. The one that he uses when M is doing something that he really doesn't like. I followed the sound of the scream and found them under the sink in the master bathroom. They told me they were going to Chuck E. Cheese. They played under here for a long time. Once M tried to hold K while they were under there and he kept hitting his head, he decided he was done.

Who needs cleats?

The other day, M wanted to play catch with a football. I asked her to put something on her feet so they wouldn't get dirty. I thought that the footwear of choice would have been flip flops. How foolish of me! I should know M better than that! She caught the ball flawlessly while in a skirt and heels.
She also has a pretty sweet arm! She doesn't need pads, cleats, and millions of dollars. All she needs is a knit/cotton blend skirt and a great pair of heels!

A visit from the tooth fairy!

M has lost her first tooth! It was quite wiggly for a couple days. I asked her if she just wanted me to take it out. She thought it would hurt and so she told me no. The other morning she woke up and the tooth was out! I asked her if she had wiggled it out. She told me no, that it had just fallen out.
The tooth fairy left her .61. I thought that she would leave .50, but the tooth fairy's helper suggested that she leave some smaller coins. So .61 is what she got. She has another loose tooth that will probably be out in a couple weeks. She already has 1 1/2 of her six year molars. Nuts right? My baby girl is growing up.
